Fashion shoot with Chineyere

I had the opportunity to work with Chineyere, a 17 year old aspiring model with a gracious beauty and a great personality. Chineyere has an Americano-Africano heritage, with a mother from Nebraska and  Nigerian father. I had a great time working with her and wanted to share some of my favorite shots.

 

Creating your perfect Love Portrait!

At Edmond Bollo Photography, we understand that your Love Portrait (engagement) will mark the beginning of a new phase in your life. We will create a memorable image of this moment and begin capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

Here are some suggested guidelines to follow to ensure your portrait is at beautiful as it can be.

1.      1. The sooner the better! Schedule your portrait a minimum of 5 to 7 weeks prior to your wedding day. This will ensure adequate time for design and lab processing of your prints.

2.      2. Dress “your” style! Choose outfits that fit your personality and will make you feel attractive. Coordinate your style of outfits and make sure that colors are harmonized. Based on our experience, long, flowing dresses and jeans or khaki pants are better choices than short skirts or shorts for posing.

3.      3. Be unique! Think about including props, large (cars, motorcycles, boats, etc..) or small (musical instruments, pets, etc..) to create a unique portrait.

4.      4. Don’t worry about the location! Once your appointment is set and clothing is selected, we will discussion location options with you. Just tell us what you envision and we will do the rest.

5.    5. Research interesting photo opportunities or ideas!  Note your favorite images found by browsing romantic postcards, magazines advertisements, or internet sites.  We will try our best to re-create those images with you as the subjects!

6.      6. Consider displaying your Love Portrait at the reception via a signature frame to allow guests to add a personalized message. The Love Portrait can also be included in your wedding invitations or framed as party favors or bridal party gifts.  

7.      7. Blog it! We will provide you with a copy of your Love Portrait formatted for use in your favorite social networking sites.

8.      8. Make it a party! Wanting to include a friend or family member to your portrait, bring them to your Love Portrait session. We can turn a single sitting into a multiple-client one all we ask is that you inform us when you schedule your appointment.

Sunday Portraits shoots downtown Dallas and in Studio.

Here are some images from a test shoot with Mary, this past Sunday. Mary S. is considering a career in movie acting career and wanted to create a portfolio. This was our test shoot. We started in the Deep Ellum area, downtown Dallas and completed the shoot at my studio.

Profoto Event: Dancers

Hi everyone! Sorry for the late update.
Last Thursday, I attended a ProfotoAssistant.com event, which is an opportunity for photographers assistants and photographers to test a generator made by the Profoto company. The new Pro-8a Air allows photographers to use the Profoto studio lights with fast cameras without having to wait for the studio lights to recycle. The event was hosted at the Seth Smith Studio, near downtown Dallas.

What better way to test the ability of that generator than having a studio shooting session? Four nearly three hours we were delighted to have three gracious dancers perform while we were clicking away.
